Need video converter

Hi,



I used Freemake Video Converter, but with the last two updates it went from taking 1 hour to taking over 12 for one file... Since you can't get old versions of it, does anybody know of a free program that lets you convert video and also hardcode subs onto the video itself?



Please Help.
